One thing is sure for all of us. Our future involves people. We all will be meeting new people, having conversations with people, catching up with familiar people, helping people and getting help from people, etc. Since this future full of people is somewhat inevitable, shouldn't we try to find a people we can rely on, and they can equally rely on us? Let's call these people your "tribe". Why? Because tribes live life together, good and bad. We were created for one another. God made us for fellowship with Himself and each other.
Understanding the importance of the relationships you establish and with whom you are building relationships with is paramount. We are told in John 13:34 & 35 to love each other. What would your world look like if you loved? If everything you did revolved around the purpose of love, what would your relationships look like? Better. All of our relationships would be better.
I encourage you to take an intentional look at all your relationships and evaluate the amount of love your giving to each one. Are you lovable? Are the people you hang around loving you back?
For the Christian, Jesus says that others will know that you are a disciple of Christ by your love. The only evaluating factor is love, not church attendance, not talking about the religious things, not your good looks ( bummer, right?), nothing but your love will reveal to people that your have a relationship with the Creator, Savior Jesus Christ. Let that sink in.
